This is a Tone Mapped HDR (High Dynamic Range) image. It was created by combining three images. The three images were taken with bracketed exposures of 0, ± 1-1/3 ev. The post processing software allows you to create some interesting effects (Tone Mapping) or a more natural looking image with a larger dynamic range.

I took this photo at Veterans Acres after an ice storm. There was a clear small frozen drop on the end of a branch and a lot of others on the tree branches in the background. They were catching the suns rays and causing the beautiful circle pattern.

It was the last day of work for this Sam’s Club employee. It’s quite obvious that his co-workers wanted his last day to be a memorable one, so they wrapped his van with four rolls of plastic stretch film. Then they used markers to inscribe various designs and goodbye messages.

I was passing through the parking lot when I saw them completing their handy work and I couldn’t resist stopping to capture a few pictures of their mischievous fun.

After I finished my shopping and was headed back to my car, I saw the van had just emerged from its plastic cocoon. Of course it was done by its owner with a little help from a utility knife.
